Overview: The EWS5912FP is a Neutron Series Managed Wireless solution 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Layer 2 Switch with 2 Gigabit uplink ports and 2 Dual-Speed SFP ports for fiber uplinks. As part of an EnGenius Neutron Series wireless management solution, the EWS5912FP through its browser-based GUI (Graphical User Interface) can discover, configure, manage and monitor up to 20 Neutron Series Wireless Access Points. The controller mode of the Switch provides a suite of wireless management features for IT managers to configure Neutron Series Access Points.
Select the optimal locations for the equipment using the following guidelines: - The ENH202 should be mounted on a 1'- 4' pole. Its location should enable easy. EnGenius locator program resets AP and finds lost IP address. We're and amazon associate powered website that brings you the best Wi-Fi and tech products.
Features include clustering Neutron Series Access Points in clusters with identical policies, Access Point IP Auto-Discovery, remote Access Point rebooting for hard-to-reach / previously deployed units, and a host of visual monitoring features including topology and floor plan view modes for the mapping out and tracking of networks. The controller also features a statistics section for record traffic tracking and comparison between units or over-time comparisons. The interface also lets IT managers apply configuration changes to multiple Access Points or the entire network simultaneously. A dashboard provides instant access to a variety of clients, network information, and events, while a real time map displays Access Point locations and network topology for planning and deployment. Managing the wired portion of the network is also easy using the same browser-based interface. The Switch supports IEEE 802.1p QoS which automatically classifies and prioritizes compliant device traffic to ensure that time sensitive data such as VoIP is forwarded without delay. The Switch’s Gigabit Ethernet ports support IEEE 802.3at/af PoE and can supply up to 30 watts per port for a total PoE budget of 130 watts.
The 8 Gigabit ports provide seamless connectivity for devices and applications that require high speed network access and reduce bottlenecks that can interrupt communication. The Switch’s two SFP slots accept fiber transceivers for extending the wired network beyond the limitation of Ethernet cabling. This is especially useful for schools with satellite classrooms, or for hotels and resorts, or other businesses with multiple building properties. The EWS5912FP includes bracketing hardware for mounting into a switch rack. Product Highlights. (8) 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Ports; (2) SFP Ports.

EnGenius EOC2611P is a high-power long range wireless bridge with 600mW output designed for outdoor wireless network deployment. Supporting standard 802.11 b/g wireless connections with advanced dual-polarity internal antenna, the EOC2611P provides technologies to establish a stable wireless connection over long distance. Supporting highly secure WPA/WPA2 encryption and MAC address filter ensure an uncompromised network security.
The MAC address filter allows administrator select exactly which client stations can access the network. Not only used as long range point-to-point wireless bridge and customer premises equipment for wireless ISP.
The on-board RP-SMA connector provides the option for installer to use it as outdoor wireless access point with connect to the antenna of choice. With multiple SSID VLAN binding feature, the EOC2611P is a well-rounded outdoor wireless network device.
INTEGRATED DUAL POLARITY ANTENNA DESIGN EnGenius EOC2611P features a selectable vertical or horizontal antenna polarization, which operates in horizontal polarity to avoid interference from standard vertical-polarized Wi-Fi devices. It allows service provider to utilize multi-polarization for best performance. WATERPROOF CABLE ACCESSORY KIT The waterproof cable accessory kit prevents rain and dew from getting into the device through cables and connector holes, ensuring higher waterproof quality against water and moisture. HIGH 600mW WIRELESS POWER High-output power up to 600mW ensures robust signal to overcome long distances, offering superior Wi-Fi coverage than leading brands. DUAL ANTENNA DESIGN EOC2611P comes with an embedded 10dBi panel antenna and a connector for upgradeable antenna, perfect for both Point-to-Point & Point-to-MultiPoint applications. MULTIPLE WIRELESS NAMES EOC2611P broadcasts multiple SSID's in one device, and permits different levels of network access (VLAN Tagging).
POWER-OVER-ETHERNET (24V POE) CAPABLE EOC2611P supports power and data over one single cable for convenient installation, and is capable of 300 feet PoE cable length. This results in less heat dissipation to ensure reliable performance. Power Injector is included for added convenience. Pros: This thing blew me away.
I thought it was going to be one of those cheap so-so plastic cans you throw up on the side of the building. This has lots of features, power and a wide angle for seeing other access points to bridge off of and relay. I would recommend this for light duty commercial application between building. Great for relay of internet to a place where you can't get any. Has POE to end-point so that's a plus! Not bad size at all.
Cons: No really, not metal but than again it holds up well though. Pros: These things are great, and for the price they are even better.
Simple to configure, great signal strength, and power over Ethernet simplifies cabling. Cons: Setup is easy, but the instructions included with the product are not very good. Fortunately, there are a couple of good, short instruction videos online. Other Thoughts: I needed to connect two houses that are about 250 yds apart, and are not line of sight - there is a 100 ft. Wide clump of trees next to the second house.
I thought I would need to buy 4 of these things, use our barn as a connection point, and come in to House 2 from a different side. We tested House 1 to Barn first, about 200 yards line of sight, with House 1 configured as Access Point, Barn as Client Bridge. The signal strength was so high at the barn that we decided to try pointing the Access Point at House 2 and moving the Client Bridge there. Both units are mounted near the top of TV antenna towers, but House 2's unit is still below the tops of the nearby trees.
The signal strength is great at House 2, and the connection has been stable and reliable for 2 weeks so far. As a bonus, the signal from the Access Point is better than my existing router inside House 1, and also gives me a great signal over a large area outside the house. Pros: I bought 2 of these before this one being my 3.
![Locator Locator](/uploads/1/2/5/3/125360159/461707145.jpg)
Configured 1 to be an access point then the other 2 (1 in production) as a client bridge. They have worked flawlessly. Through wind/rain/hail/snow there is no packet loss.
The current setup has a wireless shot about 1/4mi down to another house, streaming netflix or playing xbox games with no problem, it's as if you 'wired' into the modem. Cons: Some of the terms in the configuration are a little different than what I would call it. But a quick google turns that around. Configuration page looks a little outdated but nothing that takes away from the performance.
